Adult Literacy Advocates of Greater Baton Rouge (ALA) will host the 2nd Annual “Evening with Great Authors” on Thursday, February 2, 2012, in partnership with LSU Chapters of Phi Kappa Phi, Gamma Sigma Delta, and LSU Press. All proceeds go to ALA, to help support direct services for adult learners in the Baton Rouge community.

We are proud to announce that our guest authors will be Dr. Jonathan Roberts and Dr. Thomas J. Durant, Jr. who will discuss their recently published “HISTORY OF THE CHARITY HOSPITALS OF LOUISIANA: A Study of Poverty, Politics, Public Health and the Public Interest”. Following a discussion of their experience in writing the book, the authors will be available for a book signing after their talk. Appetizers and beverages (wine and soft drinks) will be served.
