Covid 19 Guidelines
The following adjustments to our normal operating procedures have been implemented for the health and safety of our students, volunteers, staff and visitors. We have established them based on the guidelines issued by the LA State Department of Health and the National CDC. If you have questions, feel free to call our office for additional information.
*students who are ill should remain at home until recovered to full health
*students with known respiratory issues are asked to remain at home
*masks are required while in the ALA office
*students and staff will maintain the recommended social distance
*class sessions will be reduced in length
*class times will be adjusted so that only one class will be in the office at one time
*classes will no longer have mid-session breaks, and students are encouraged to remain in our office until class ends
*classes with more than 5 students will be divided into two sections, with each section attending one day per week
*our one-to-one volunteer tutoring program is on hold until we feel that it is safe for students and tutors to meet in person
