ALA's 22nd annual Scrabble Challenge fundraiser will look a little different this year,
but we’re still keeping the FUN in fundraiser!
We won’t even know if you’re checking the dictionary!
* Participants will play Scrabble (online or board game) Nov. 1st through 10th, and report their high score.
* A virtual finale event will be held Thursday, Nov. 12th, that our supporters and players can watch online,
in which we will announce the game winners and the winner of the 50/50 cash split raffle.
All proceeds benefit our students and educational programs.

Here's how it works:
Register online using the button above. Contest fee is $25 per entry. You may submit more than one entry if you choose.
- The deadline for submitting your slogan entry is midnight, Sunday, November 7th.
- Create your slogan using a traditional Scrabble board and tiles, with the word "Literacy" as a center point.
- The winning slogan will be used in ALA promotional materials during 2022, displayed prominently on our website and in our office, and in our social media.
Slogan creator will also receive 4 complimentary passes to the 2022 Scrabble Challenge. - For more detailed information and rules, download the documents above.
- Submit your slogan by midnight, Nov. 7th using the entry forms which can also be downloaded above.
- Join us for the Virtual Event Finale, Wednesday, Nov. 10th at 6:30 p.m. We'll hear remarks from ALA students and volunteers, recognize our event sponsors, draw for the winner of the 50/50 Cash Split Raffle, and announce the 2021 Slogan Contest winner.
